Ver-Dick builders was conceived with the encouragement of a construction boss, who saw potential in two young men to exceed beyond others in their profession.
In January of 1970 those lifelong friends, Verlin Walters and Dick Hall,
began Ver-Dick Builders, Inc. One year later, Paul Abernathy joined the team and by the year 2000 became a Junior Partner. The three of them now work hand-in-hand to provide the best customer service available.
The company was founded on residential construction but the quality of their work soon captured the attention of businesses within the area. In 1972, they started doing commercial work for O'Neil's Department stores. Their knowledge of the stores and working relationship with management made them a valuable tool in the company's many transitions over the years. The Macy's Corporation, as they are known today, is still considered one of their most valued customers.
With 40 years of experience, many local retailers have come to appreciate Ver-Dick Builders ability to keep a low profile while doing work within their business. Their stock of specialty retail hardware is also a benefit to merchandisers that need a quick turn-around on upgrades or repairs.
